sunflowers nod heavy heads
whate cockatoo hangs upside down chewing
parsley and carrot seedy stalks
woody rosemary and scorched lavendar
tawny tangled garden ready for digging
end of summer 
will soften into new green autumn

nice...i like the touch on smell there in the middle...you had me searching the pic for an upside down bird too...ha....i can go for summer...though autumn is my fav...i think i can wait a bit for it this year...smiles.

I could just see that cockatoo hanging upside down chewing... And those sunflowers do have heavy heads...a lovely vision of March.

Ah.. there are places where summer comes to an end.. while we enjoy the first days of spring... autumn is actually even more colors than spring.
